Among the many reactions to Brexit in public discourse and the media, cartoons are both a way of laughing at this political event and a revealing representation of the paradox inherent to Brexit. We can find in them an interpretation of the event itself, the actors considered as the most important as well as their roles, but also the importance of the different political dimensions in the Brexit negociations. The drawings that we have chosen to analyse are the cartoons published in the British media between 2016 and 2018 that explicitly comment on Brexit.
