YCPC-Youth conference on political campaigning
European elections 2019 are drawing nearer and during the last EP elections only 28%of the 18-24 years old cast their ballot. How can we encourage young people to get involved in the political process?
JEF Brussels, SAIES- Students’ Association of the Institute of European Studies, and Eyes on Europe are organizing the first YCPC-Youth Conference on political Campaigning.
We want to familiarize youth with the challenges and hot topics of the 2019 EU elections. We aim to show ways how the next generation can engage in this process, and therefore, how to turn the process of political campaigning more bottom-up. We see this conference as a platform where academics, practitioners and students can come together to discuss these issues.

Les organisateurs
Young European Federalists
JEF is a transpartisan, politically pluralist youth NGO with about 30,000 members in over 30 countries. The goal of JEF is the creation of a democratic European federation as a guarantee for peace and a more free, just, and democratic society.
JEF promotes true European Citizenship, works for the widening and deepening of the EU and strives for a more just and integrated society on the European continent. It is independent from all political parties and ideologies and pursues its objectives autonomously. Nevertheless, the organisation can of course participate in the exchange of opinions and experiences with political movements, public institutions, associations and the public.
SAIES – Students’ Association of the Institute for European Studies (SAIES)
SAIES is an association of students from the Institute for European Studies of the Université libre de Bruxelles. Its main purpose is to create a space for reflection accessible to anyone, and in which the European Union is the focus of attention.
Eyes on Europe
Born in 2004, Eyes on Europe is an association based in Brussels with a dual goal. Composed solely of students, our aim is to enable them to develop professional skills, to become autonomous and responsible as well as to blossom through a project of their own. Working with a horizontal youth-to-youth approach, we also strive for raising awareness of European citizens, and the development of a critical but fair mindset towards the European Union.
