"Resistance to Europe"

This is a ARC project  (Action de Recherche Concertée), whose promoters are Jean-Michel de Waele, Paul Magnette, Justine Lacroix, Pieter Lagrou

It consists of two closely mutualy articulated components:

  • First, to study the impact of certain EU policies in specific social environments to show how European integration has come to be identified with the phenomenon of modernization;
  • then show how European political thought has been taken by surprise by a "Community method" that was not the "traditional" government doctrines.
