The ULB faculty partners of the IEE

The IEE-ULB is an interfaculty and interdisciplinary research and teaching institute of the Université libre de Bruxelles. As a result, it supports interdisciplinary research projects itself and plays a role in coordinating and giving value to disciplinary and interdisciplinary research projects dealing with European issues within its three ULB faculty partners:

  • The Faculty of Philosophy and Social Sciences of the ULB
  • The Faculty of Law and Criminology of the ULB
  • The Solvay Brussels School Faculty – Economics & Management

The Faculty of Philosophy and Social Sciences of the ULB

The Faculty of Philosophy and Social Sciences emerged from the merger of two departments of the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences and two departments of the Faculty of Philosophy and Letters of the Université libre de Bruxelles. It brings together four departments: Department of Philosophy, Ethics and Sciences of Religions, Department of Political Science, Department of Social Sciences and Work Sciences, Department of History, Arts and Archaeology. The Solvay Brussels School Faculty – Economics & Management

The Solvay Brussels School of Economics & Management (SBS-EM) is the Faculty of Economics and Management of the Université libre de Bruxelles. It is the result of the merger in 2008 of the ULB’s school of commerce, founded by Ernest Solvay in 1903, with the ULB’s economics department, founded in 1899 thanks also to the financial support of Ernest Solvay.

Ranked 47th European university in the Financial Times league table, accredited with AMBA, EQUIS and Qfor labels and member of the Conference of Grandes Ecoles [organization of France’s most prestigious post-school but non-university institutions], it offers around thirty programmes which each year have over 3,000 students.
