Carte blanche à Emmanuelle Bribosia et Cecilia Rizcallah: L’affaire des « visas humanitaires ». Drame à Alep : esquive à Luxembourg, espoir à Bruxelles ?

En mars, Emmanuelle Bribosia, Directrice du Centre de droit européen, ( et Cecilia Rizcallah, chercheuse au Centre de droit européenne, commentent l'arrêt de la Cour de justice de l’Union européenne dans l’affaire dite « des visas humanitaires ».

Transatlantic relations under Trump: risk or opportunity?

On 23 February 2017, the Institute for European Studies at Université libre de Bruxelles hosted a two-hour seminar "Foreign Policy and Trade under Trump's Presidency: What's Next for the Transatlantic Relations?" The event was organized by Dr Tereza Novotna, FNRS Post-doctoral Researcher at REPI, IEE-ULB and Senior Associate Research Fellow at EUROPEUM, Institute for European Policy in collaboration with IEE-ULB, London School of Economics and Political Science IDEAS & Dahrendorf Forum and EUROPEUM Brussels Office. The speakers, Dr Tim Oliver (LSE IDEAS Dahrendorf Fellow), Dr Tereza Novotna (IEE-ULB and EUROPEUM), Mr Geoffrey Harris (formerly at the European Parliament's Liaison Office in Washington, DC), Mr Richard Tibbels (Head of the US and Canada Division, European External Action Service) and Ms Sandrine Dixson-Declève (Spokesperson, Democrats Abroad Belgium), discussed the issues that will shape transatlantic ties under Trump's Presidency and reflected on what the future holds for foreign policy and trade in the new transatlantic era. The debated was chaired by Prof. Mario Telò, (IEE-ULB, LUISS Guido Carli and the Belgian Royal Academy).
